Default Gitzo Series 5 for 6'2" Shooter?

I think I want a tripod that has a maximum height of about 70" so that a gimbal mounted super tele would be just above eye level. And for quality and strength, I think I want a Gitzo Series 5 tripod. The problem, as I understand it, is that the Series 5 legs that are longer than 60" have either a max height of 94.49" or 109.05", which seems like overkill. I'm 6'2" tall.

    Why "I think I want . . . "? I'm willing to be educated about what works best. I mostly use a 1DX and 600/4 II.

    Thanks for taking a look.

look at gitzo GT3542XLS. extend bottom leg out 3" (keeps leg lock out of sand/muck) and extend it further only if the other three extensions are not enough.. It is not a series 5 leg but it works for me.

Seems like a good solution, Bob. Thanks. I think Artie uses this model. I'm concerned that it's maximum height, 59.68", isn't enough.

That makes a difference! Thanks, Bob. This is my likely direction.
