    Bit of an experiment with this one. I am having a job getting all of the bird anything like sharp. Gert get tyhe head but not the tail for example. So my usual solution is to rack out and use less of the telphoto end.
    This one is a very large crop as you can see by the full frame. I enlarged the original( just to see what happened) by 160 %( bicubic) and then cropped and then just reduced for web.. Its the only one with the large food item side on

    800ISO
    350th @f9
    Neat image.

    Wow, John. I like this image even better than the last. The perch is better, the prey larger. The only thing I would do is clean up that little bit of perch on the bottom right.

    Blimey that's a mouthful, the image is very good considering the original full frame.
    Lichen covered perches like that are great and the backdrop is perfect.

    One of your best John, the soft BG and the prey capture is a great spring image
