    Default Wood Stork

I captured this image of a Wood Stork at Lake Mirror in Lakeland, Florida. I had to shoot at a more upward angle than I would have liked other wise the background was cluttered with out of focus buildings. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

do they call them wood storks because their heads look like they are made of wood?

Super exposure on the whites and the details are excellent.

good job on keeping the clean background it really makes the bird stand out

You are rocking out these portraits, Joe. I love the structure on the head and the beak. Beautiful detail on the white plumage too. Love your work.

    Hello Joe,

I just cannot think of an avian species with a more appropriate name:)

Nice work in the field - I really like the POV, I find it helps to emphasise the shape and size of this amazing bill. Great techs too, this is well exposed and sharp as can be.

Perfect framing and presentation, good detail and colours, spotless BG. I like everything about this and it gave me great pleasure to view, many thanks for sharing.

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea
