I was hoping to take some flight shots of a Kestrel which is nesting in a ruined castle. I had my camera settings set up ready, for the light conditions, but the Kestrel never appeared. I was about to pack up, when the Kestrel showed, it flew past so quick I missed the shot I wanted, it flew into a shaded area where I managed to get this one shot. I liked what I captured, and thought it would fit this months theme.

I like what you were going for, but this image needed a better wing position to make it work better. I can imagine the wings up with primaries splayed and a bit of light coming through them........
