    Default sand eels a plenty...

    Attached Images Attached Images

roseate tern returns to nest with an extra helping of food. No chicks yet, just another eel for dessert. I like the wispy tail feathers and the oof vegetation. I chose not to clone out the taller stems that intersect the wings as i like the environmental landscape...
Although the whites are not blown, there is a "halo" around the hood of the bird and is there a way to dull that? thanks, ann
I also posted an inquiry about custom settings for shooting terns in general photography if anyone could offer me suggestions to get my rig optimized for terns... thank you

I like the head on pose and the way that such a relatively small bird almost fills the frame. A lovely clean background with gorgeous pastel colours. I agree with not cloning out the stems of vegetation. The beakfull of eels adds a sense of purpose to the image. TFS. Sorry but I cant offer any advice about dealing with the halo, but I am sure that others will.

Nice head-on shot and BG with a type of prey I'm not familiar with, reason for the halo, maybe over sharpened?

Very nice frame. Love the BG colours which show off the bird real well. Lovely detail on the bird and I like the HA.

The halo looks like jpeg compression, no big deal.
I love this photo, sharp and the habitat is beautiful.....

I like the colors, but the processing has issues, the image is over sharpened too much and thus the halos and the crunchy details...

What a lovely image, Ann, with a wonderful color palette and great subject with prey. It would be nice to see it reprocessed.
