    Default Black-necked Stilt - portrait

I am "working" these birds...going back to the spot regularly. Here is one portrait from yesterday late afternoon.

This is a top notch portrait of this stunning species. I worked this species myself last year, returning over and over again. Your exposure, feather detail, light and BG are off the charts. My only suggest might be to take a little off of the bottom and left and add a little bit on top. Although maybe if I saw that crop and compared, I would end up liking this better. Regardless, you've done this species justice!

Beautiful portrait with perfect exposure. The eye is lovely. My first impression is too much dead space for a portrait, then I read Marina's comments. Same here. TFS. Loi

Such a beautiful species, well deserving of a nice portrait; and this does it justice. I agree with a little off the left and bottom. And for my personal taste, I'd eliminate one of the catchlights, albeit natural.
