    I keep my 70-200 w/ 2x in my camera bag for shots like these.
    While visiting a Japanese garden in the Puget Sound, this female Hooded Merganser flew in.
    Midday light but a fine opportunity for a wild duck photo at this time of year....

    You did a great job here considering the high light. The BG is really quite stunning and the raised crown is a nice plus.
