    Of course you planned it for the eyes to be clearly seen! Very important! I would call this critter a grasshopper. Good & interesting composition with all the pink spikes reaching upwards and providing a curved symmetry across the image. Also nice that the foreground is OOF and provides a soft pink base for the detailed grasshopper. That allows the eye to go right to the featured critter.
