    Default Kingfisher (wild and free)

I dont have as much time as i would like to spend with the birds this year ,but once i start its hard to stop
Another early start in order to have a quick look around and set up, Kingfishers are notouriously late starters ,even in breeding season so after being ready and waiting at 5.30am my first encounters were not untill after 7.00am ...but after a hour or two i had a good CF card of images....Canon 1d mkiv 500mm f4 at 5.6 iso 800 +1/3 ev 1/200 sec tripod mounted in a chair hide Name: Kingfisher-BPN-(1-of-1).jpg

Dennis, your KF is so lovely. Great colors and BG. Like the perch and the composition. You can see your reflection in the bird's eye. Well done. Loi

Great colour, and love the diagonal perch. Beautiful backdrop too. I,ve done over three hundred Kingfisher shots this yeaqr but this beats the lot.
    Good stuff

Nice looking image of the KF. The lovely colours on the bird blend well with the BG. A wee bit more room on top maybe.
