I was at Circle B Bar Reserve in Polk County, Florida last fall. I saw this Tri-colored Heron catching fish at the inlet of a culvert. I sat about twelve feet from the bird on the banking capturing frame after frame hoping to get the birds head and the fish at the right angle. This is about a close to perfect as I could get. A great shot against the dark culvert. I suppose one degree of head turn would be icing on the cake, but this is pretty darn nice. I love the way the heron's eye is focused on his catch, and the fish's head is turned the right way.
