Great looking bird under nice light, Jonathan. Fine detail and wonderful head turn. Like the perch and super BG.

You're getting some good results from the garden Jon. Great look at the bird - not one of my favourite perches, but the subject itself is bang on.

Jon would love to chop a bit of that perch so it was not so close to it's beak, but that apart really do think this is a real cracker of an image, bird and bg are excellent.

I really like the head turn and the inquisitive look that the bird is giving. Sharp with good detail and colours. Just losing focus a touch on the very end of the tail feathers. The background is really nice and seems to complement the birds colours. Agree with Keith on the top part of the perch.

Everything fine Jon but I do find it a bit "crunchy" I do appreciate however that Greenies are feathered a bit that way. I would take off at least some of the spikey perch

Thanks for the feedback everyone, I have produced other images with the branch masked and lowered more than it is shown, I agree a bigger gap between the spike and the bill is better.
