Greetings BPN Members,
I want to thank a friend of mine David Salem for getting me to join BPN.
I do know several of you already Doug Brown, Glenn Conlan and a few others.
I thought I would start off with a favorite fish flip shot from last year.
Glad you made the plunge Tim. You will have a great time here and have lots of fun along the way.
The shot looks awesome and deffinitly one of the best flip shots I have seen!! The position of the fish in the beak is fantastic and the colors and details look great too. Very nice first post and look forward to your participation. Well done
Come join me for a Custom Raptor Workshop starting this November 2019- January 2020.
P.M. me to inquire on dates, pricing and availabilities. Thank You. www.davidsalemphotography.com
Just beautiful. Image quality is great and the action is perfect. If I was being incredibly picky (and I am saying this only for the sake of trying my hardest to find something constructive to say) it would be ideal if the front wing was raised just a tiny bit more so you do not have as much of a shadow as it does now. I would be thrilled to have a shot like this.
Wonderful action shot! Image quality and detail are first class. Nice diagonal composition and the placing of the fish between the open beak is just great.
A big Welcome Tim. My mind is already thinking wow this guy is good Loving this capture, what can I say, even the eye on the fish is looking good. If I had seen this image elsewhere, I would think David Salem, it is that good
Welcome Tim, by the company you keep I've a feeling we'll see some real quality coming from you. You've certainly set the bar high with this one, the fish is perfectly centred within the beak and the bird is holding a lovely pose, nice details throughout
Tim, welcome on BPN. Awesome first post! You re a friend of David's, so not a surprise. Not sure if it is just me, but I find the image a little bit on the cool side, so I applied a warming filter to warm it up a little bit. TFS. Loi
Lovely shot, the pose is excellent with the bird's body parallel to the camera. I can only imagine how difficult it is to capture such a scene with these extremely fast and agile birds.
And that "flying fish" just adds so much to the shot.
Exposure and colours look very good to my eye as well, and you can really see the sharpness with the little water droplets on the tern's belly.
Hi Tim, a huge welcome to BPN, and hope you enjoy the ride. A great image to share, and very well timed to have captured the flip, and that the fish's eye is visible. Whites look good, nice and sharp, and comp wise, I would add a bit more space above.
Welcome to BPN, Tim. Nice photo to introduce your work. It takes a lot to capture this fast action. Nice fish flip and the eye is visible on both bird and fish. I also fee it would need some room above. Is it full frame capture or you have some room? Otherwise it is easy to add canvas. TFS
