I've been away for far to long. Working hard on a new business and it's been taking up all my time. From my Spring Yellowstone tour last week.. This was a kestrels nest the past couple of years but this year flickers took over. The Kestrels moved to a different tree not far away. Here the male is peeking out the cavity. To abide by park rules and get the image I had in mind it took some extreme FL to achieve this image. Full frame as shot in camera

What a super image. The nest tree has great character and texture and your bird amazing details. To what park rules are you referring please?

Hi Marina, Thanks for the kind words. Park regulations say 100 yards from bears and wolves and 25 yards from all other wildlife which does include birds. Being permitted to lead tours I have to be very careful to abide by them.
