Default Black headed gull from Lake Mjøsa in Norway

Went to Norway for a few days on business and took my camera along as the long daylight hours meant i had some time after dinner to take some shots by the lake

Surprisingly not as many different species as other years so focussed on what was there

This black headed gull was being mobbed by larger gull species and making sharp turns close to my position

I nearly clipped the bottom wing on this one and the cloudy sky made it difficult to add canvas so kept the tight crop

Cropped left and top. Very basic levels and sharpening of the subject after reducing for web

[edit] i also softened the shadow under the wing

    Thanks for viewing

Very nice Shane. My attempt at shooting sea gulls have not ended successfully. I really like the diagonal composition here and good save on not clipping the left wing. The light is beautiful, too.

Nice frame Shane. The pose and details look great and the overall exposure is perfect. Nice to see good details in both the darks and lights. The clouds add a lot to the image. I think a bit more room to the right and below will look good also. Well done

Yes I like this one very much your exposure is spot on, I think it is a little tight in the frame that is my only reservation (I don't think it would be too difficult to add a little canvas)
