    Default Tern (1DX II ISO 10000!)

    Here is another Forster's tern frame. This one was taken in even dimmer conditions, hence ISO 10,000. I was impressed the camera could focus with the Extender 2X III on fast flying tern under such low light.

    1DX MKII 400 DO II+ 2X III. ISO 10,000. f/8 at 1/1600sec hand held. Processed with DPP 4.4 Hope you like it. PS. there was no sun in the sky, I added the catchlight in post.

    and you still have good details, which is impressive although a little bit more noise than your usual images :). Loi

    Wow! ISO 10,000!! I didn't think it would look as good as it does. Nice to know you can still get an acceptable action shot at those high ISOs. Thanks for sharing this info with us.

    Shady underwing area shows noise best. Overall a smashing image considering the circumstances. TFS.

    Thanks Gerhard, I don't see it though on my screen. It depends on your monitor's calibration, if it is not calibrated (set too bright) it may show grain in that area.

    Nope, fully calibrated Eizo Color Edge 27 mate!
