Kingfisher( female) with Bullhead
Sunlight on and off under dappled leaves blowing in the wind- what a nightmare! The blue tones hange every 10 s3econds !
The perch is a natural sprag on a fallen tree which has been in the brook 3 years. Quite a way from the nest which also has been used several times.
Taken this morning- notice the shutter speed.

Image quality is fantastic. Colors and feather detail look great. Love the background as well. Too bad it is facing away from us and that the prey item is facing the wrong way as well. Still a great shot, especially at that SS.
Could you please explain what a CZM high pass filter is? Is that a plug in or what?

Hi Isaac
CZM is a focus stacking piece of software- not a plug in as such. Its a stand aslone job which is free to download. When the programme blends several images together it finally applies a high pass filter which I find very good. I found by accident that it also applied the fllter if you only put one image in instead of several. So you put the image in, say "do stack" and it applies the high pass filter to the one image.
Hope that helps.

Backgrounds fine for me, the Kingfisher stands out well against it.
That Bullheads going down the hatch, great feather detail, colours look good and the perch looks natural.
wow, amazing looking bird! Nice job with getting close enough to capture the details sharp, great color too. I wish I could get close to a king fisher, haha I'll keep on tryin'
First off, great looking BG :) To bad it didn't work out to where you weren't shooting from the other side with the sun at your back. Would have been perfect. Not that this isn't nice, just not lined up perfectly. Besides that, the exposure and details look awesome! Well done
