    Default Ephemera #4

Here's another Ephemera. I think now it's leaning to cyan and the leaves are a bit dark, but have another folder up in LR that I'm working on (granddaughter!) and too lazy/busy to go back and dig this one out for some color tweaks. So I'll toss it out. I really liked that window... From Taos, if I recall.

Even without the color, shapes, and lines of the plant, I'd be drawn to this, but they add a whole new level of interest and contrast. I can't wait to see #5.

Very very nice, Diane. I like this better than #3 actually. The harmony of the color works together with the composition. Would be lovely to see the color tweaks when you've got a chance!

I completely agree with loving that window! I also agree with your assessment on the color. However, the placement, the shape of the leaves & those tendrils are just right. Actually, those tendrils are an awesome with their serpentine shape and reach! Adds a bit of that Native American animal mysticism.

The window is wonderful and provide a uniting theme for the images that include it. Like Nancy, I especially like the tendrils. The leaves look a bit large in relation to the window, but I assume that was your intention. I admire your creativity.

Thanks to everyone for the comments!! The leaves were envisioned to be the subject, with the window as a texture. I did a quick revisit but didn't accomplish much -- just a slight tweak to lighten the leaves with a bit more contrast. I'd need more time with it. Might use that vine again, though...

Diane, with the second post the leaves are definitely the subject. But since those tendrils are so alive, I am thinking less contrast on the leaves, bring up the window some and make the tendrils dominate. Maybe?

The tendrils are the unifying part of the image and they do their job so well. The brown tendrils look like iron fixtures. I like this a lot
