    Default Sanderling in Breeding Plumage

    Attached Images Attached Images

One of the more colorful breeding plumage Sanderlings I've come across.....the light was a bit harsher than I would have preffered, but ya gotta take it when it comes your way :)

    Nikon D300, 500 AFS~VR, TC14EII, ISO 400, F 7.1

By the way...I'm doing a little adjustment on my work monitor which is an ancient CRT.....so let me know how the IQ is if you would?

    Thanks,

Beautiful plumage, details and angle look great, too. I might crop a bit off top and bottom.

IQ looks good from here Jim, gorgeous little pee-wee, that drop is the icing. I feel it need a bit of CCR rotation, may be my old eyes :)
And you may want to run some noise reduction just in the back and foreground.

    Looking good!!!

    Default Thanks Fabs / Axel

Between trying to do a little work on my work monitor (shhhhhh....) and forgetting my "computer" glasses today, I was sort of taking a shot with this one :)

    Your comments are appreciated!

    Hello Jim,

Very nice shot of this Sanderling!

Excellent POV and great details on the feathers...

I like very much the droplet at the end of the beak!

    Nicely done!

Great looking bird and the light is working OK - not too harsh. Agree with the cropping suggestion on top and bottom.

I like the water with the blues, browns and whites - contrasts with the bird well.

Stunning breeding plumage, Jim. Others have given some good suggestions.

A great looking speciman. THere's a little drop under his tail, too. Nice details.
