    Default Big Foot

The image is fairly self explanatory, just looking at other options after nailing the ones I wanted.

Hi Steve -- lovely details , that image is perfectly working for me . It is giving me a feeling that ice underneath it might crack with that big foot coming down on it . I wonder how close one can get to these mighty creatures !

    Hi Steve

Stunning detail here in all the shades of white.
Love the contrast between nails and fur.

I only wish the left foot was not where it is..

Was he standing on pack ice?
    Regards

    Andre.

Hi Steve - great details in the snow, ice and fur. This helps to show their impressive size and strength. Nice tones/color too. I agree with Andre about the other foot but not a deal breaker.

    Rachel

Haseeb, if you come back & process your images, then not close enough . To me, they are most dangerous species on the planet!!!

Indeed, but occasionally you have to go with the flow.

    Dear Steve,

For me this frame brings about a greater appreciation of colour and textures as well as detail - I often marvel at your capability to pay attention to the little things, like those nails with the visible quick.

Perfectly exposed and I love seeing so many nuances of white. Sharp, great IQ. Well composed and the fissure in the ice gives your capture "the edge". Very nice thinking Sir, to my mind this frame is as solid and as powerful as the "Big Foot" itself:)
Wonderful work as always, love it as presented, thank you so much for sharing

    Warmest regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Hi Steve, the details of the white hair and the cold ice are amazing. Loi

Technically excellent and a really good idea, I find I am going back to have a second then a third look.

Lovely detail and tonality here, Steve. I love that the detail in the ice crystals is also visible.
I agree about the other foot, but also about the fact that you can only capture what you see...
Good call on going for some different shots after "banking the money-spinners" - something we encourage the guests to try on our trips frequently.

Having seen a horrific video today on social where a polar bear is gunned down by people in Kaktovik who are slaughtering a whale carcass, I can't help but wonder how long we'll have with these splendid creatures?

Steve you can get more out of the foot of an animal than some can get out of the whole body, detail ,texture and sharpness all spot on.
