You guys have certainly set a challenge. I should compile an image of all the BIF's I missed today. They made me laugh when I saw them! Lots of feet and blurred wings, no heads and out of frame.

This is a young pair that come regularly. It looks like one is telling at the other to get those wings going for Glennie to catch.

In ACR - Shadows to the right
In PSCS6 - Curves adjustment layer on Birds. Curves adjustment layer on perch as well as HSL to try and balance a magenta look. Curves adjustment layer to lighten BG. No NR on BG (which I thought it would need at ISO 1600) Cloned out prop. Smart sharpened for posting.

Good caption! Yep, BIF has to be the biggest challenge, particularly with small birds that flit so quickly from one place to the other. The only time I had success was with a hummingbird while sitting in a blind with the camera on a tripod and a remote shutter release with a set focus and just fired away when I thought one was in the FOV!

Ha you are so funny Glennie, hmm things look like carnage when I try bif too heads and bits missing all ways unless the bird is too far away.

Glennie this is very special,I keep musing how each one is my new favourite. it's not just those outstretched wings, the plumage being raised that is really enchanting,It really looks like your title is being said and some dry aussie humour from the left bird is coming back, priceless!!

Glennie your execution of this shot, plus HH is brilliant, despite the humour those wing undersides are stunning they really make this for me coupled with the pastel grey background and that wonderful interaction
    all credit mate

    take care

That photo is absolutely lovely! Especially since both birds are making eye contact, wonderful.

And I know about the BIF issue…I tried a few laughing gulls for practice today. About 250 shots, and I kept…zero.

A sliver more room on the left side and this is worth printing big and framed. Very very well done, Glennie!

Great Shot. I love the colors and Beautiful clean background.

The Branch on the right could be toned down a bit. I really love these birds..

    Thanks for sharing the picture.

I must've been crazy. Right side, I mean a sliver more room on the right side of the frame. This right and left can be confusing at times! :D

Just saw I didn't comment on this one -- forgot to hit "Send" again?? But all covered above -- I like the idea of a little more on the right and less on the left. Wonderful as usual and a great catch!!
