    Default Indigo Banded Kingfisher

This is the Male Indigo Banded Kingfisher, a rare endemic to our country the Philippines. It took me the better part of two days to capture this very tiny but beautiful bird.

What a cool bird. The bird looks great. I just wish for a nicer BG / setting.

Welcome to BPN! Great first post and well worth the effort and patience. I like the details, eye contact and head angle and would suggest some noise reduction on the BG. Please take a minute to read the posting guidelines. The maximum size is 800 pixels on the longest side. Thanks for sharing and keep them coming!

    Welcome and nice first post.

Great detail in the bird and is he beautiful. You did well capturing him.

I would suggest a different crop to minimize some of the BG distractions. I also cloned out the white spots on the rock.

Thanks a lot for the comments. Sorry for the oversized image.

Thank you Robert for taking the time to reprocess the image, your version is so much better than the original.
