This cooperative warbler posed nicely for me on a setup perch last weekend. Fun times these warblers offer!

Canon 7DII + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC III, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/320s., f/7.1, ISO 800, natural light, handheld, small crop for comp, one misplaced leaf touching the top edge (thanks to the wind!) cloned out, NR to the BG. Audio used.

    Daniel,
What a very beautifully composed image. Love the birch leaves and the perched chestnut sided posing so elegantly. I say perfection here. DOF you chose gave details to every feather and serrated leaf edge. BG is gorgeous without a bit of noise. Did I say how much I like this? Gorgeous work, well done.

Perch, pose, and sharpness are all first rate. And the bird is striking. I saw one of these a couple of times when I was down in Galveston to photograph the warbler migration a few weeks ago, but never got a good frame.

Great composition Daniel, love the colours and the darker, solid BKG creates a nice pop to the image. Light through the leaves also bring some cool vibrancy too.

What a beautiful looking bird and beautifully captured. Great pose and lovely colours on the bird. I also like the freshness on the leaves, The darker BG, makes the image pop.

Fabulous bird framed by the birch twigs with bright fresh green foliage.
The dark background shows off the beautiful plumage with a nice head turn.
    Exposure spot on.
