Hi all,

I just had finished a series of shots on a flying Flamingo when I turned around and saw the beginning of the "mounting act", no time to change the camera settings, just dropped down on my knees while focusing on the love act and fired away. The picture was taken in Dubai at the Al Qudra lakes last saturday with the below settings and slighly sharpened and cropped for display.

EOS 5D Mark III
EF100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM +1.4x III

ƒ/11.0
500.0 mm

As I am new to bird photography I have posted this picture here and look forward to receive your input on what to do better next time, if anyone knows what bird it is please let me know.
