This is another image from my trip to Islay, where these wee guys were plentiful, but not easy to get close to.

    Hi Will,
The yellow lichen adds a lovely POP of color.
I feel the IQ is suffering here. is this a big crop?
The BG seems in need of some NR.
I know these guys are fast but in a perfect world I wish you had gotten lower to eliminate the OOF rocks in the BG.
I like the comp you chose but could also see a version with a bit more off the bottom but if this is a big crop already then I would leave as is,
    Gail

Hi Will. Yes I agree with some of Gail's points. Is it a crop from landscape ? Nice semi- habitat shot whatever.
Did one here locally last week. Bit thin on the ground this year though.
    Cheers

I like the overall feel of the image, those lichens really add a lot of interest to the image. I agree with Gail about getting lower (if possible) to at very least lower the BG rocks' intersecting point away from the head, and I would also have preferred a better light able to evenly light the face area. I like the comp you chose.

Those yellow lichens gives a nice lift to your very nice image Will,I like the soft colours on this female and the typical rocky habitat you have caught it in.

Good one, William. I too like the lichen covered rock perch. The quality of light enhances this beauty. Well captured.

Hi Will, lovely pose on top of the rock, and yes, the yellow lichen certainly adds to the overall image. We all know as already mentioned, that not having the OOF rocks would have taken this too another level. There again, we all have images, that if a certain 'thing' was not there, it would have made for a better image. Dont feel alone.
