I've got a Helio lens that creates wonderful bokeh. I had to get an adapter before I could use it on my Olympus and here is one of the images I took with that combination at Kanapaha Gardens recently. Converted to black and white with SEP. Thanks for looking

I totally love the title! This looks like a great lens for creativity. The indistinct and magical looking bkgd adds the perfect backdrop to the praying buddah. The angle of the bamboo and light appears to bestow a connection from Above to the buddah, and cloaking him in the Light. Very effective use of light to dark tones.

I agree with Nancy about the tones. They cover a wide range and nicely highlight the buddha. I didn't consciously realize it at first, but there are two repeating shapes that I think unify the image. One is the circles. The bokeh is immediately apparent, but there are also the coins. They harmonize with the buddah's head, eyes, and the beads on the necklace. There are also many triangles. The hands stand out as a triangle, but the shape is echoed in a more subtle way throughout the image with some being upright and some inverted.

Thanks, Nancy and Dennis. Dennis - I'm glad you saw they triangles The helios is a fun lens to use and can be adapted to most any camera (I think). I got mine on eBay for less than $100.

The bokeh circles beautifully connect with Buddah's coins (pennies from heaven).

Gorgeous bokeh! Love how it shows through the diagonal lines. Agree with Gary about the coins and bokeh. Very nice is B&W.

Lovely light. A peaceful image. Was the background bamboo?
