    Last weekend I photographed this wonderfull owl in the dunes on one of the Dutch Islands.

    1/3200 F5.6 ISO 400
    Canon 40D + Canon 500mm F4 + 1.4 TC

    Nice first image,I Iike the pose and eye contact,I would prefer a more tighter composition

    Not seeing the repost but I like the line of grass along the bottom, nice anchor to the image. You have him coming at you and nice eye contact. I would have preferred an up or down wing position.

    I can't see the repost either. Agree with Robert about the wing position. Like the OOF grass in the dunes below. Composition looks good to me. Thanks for posting!

    Welcome to BPN, Hans! Great first post. If the owl were a little lower I would leave the grass in the frame. In this case I would crop tighter. I can't see the repost, either. Keep them coming!

    I found a better photo (better to me) in the serie that I shot last weekend...

    I like this one even better and would only sharpen the owl a bit more.
