    Default Great Egret... breeding colors and red eye

    I worked on this image today. The image was captured at Gatorland in Orlando, Florida at the rookery in the alligator breeding pond. The is red only during breeding and last for a short while. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

    Nikon D7000
    Nikon 80-400mm F/4.5-5.6 VRII AF-S ED shot at 340mm (510mm FFE)
    1/1000 F/5.6 Matrix Metering -1 EV ISO 100 AWB
    Post processed in Lightroom CC and Photoshop CC
    Cropped slightly for composition and presentation

    Youv'e certainly got these Egrets sorted Joe. I like close ups and I like this one ! Beautiful detail and a nice BG. If I was cropping a bit tighter I would maybe take some off the bird bottom and right.

    I had no idea about the red eye, thanks for that. Great head angle and those tough whites look good.
