I used a 1/4 s shutter speed, added a vignette blur from NIK in green to soften the outer edges of the frame, and a subtle texture.

This is beautiful, Jackie! I would consider doing something about the light green leaf in the middle. I always find these blurs very inspiring. Thanks for sharing!

Jackie, the image shouts spring. The blend of blues and greens is wonderful. I believe the light green leaf is the focal point of your image.

Ah, the title is so appropriate. You crafted this very well. The horizontal format, I think, emphasizes the number of plants and nicely opposes their direction. The green speaks of life, but it's the lone yellow-green bud that shows that it's starting anew. The analogous colors are beautiful together.

I'm glad you shared this with us.

Jackie, I wanna clarify that it's not the big light green leaf that I found distracting, it's rather a smaller tip that is on the left side of the big one.

Just gorgeous!! The perfect SS!! I don't mind the leaf tip as it adds to the rhythm as my eye moves through the image.

I'm wondering if the left 1/5 or 1/6 is contributing a lot -- it seems a little discordant with the rest, which is so beautiful.

Thanks for the comments and apologies for taking so long to respond. Adhika I believe you are referring to the tip on the ROT's upper left? Dianne I will play around with the crop a little. Gary, I was intending for the brightest bulb to be the focal point. Appreciate the critiques.

Hi, Jackie, I loved this when I saw in on your FB page and I love it here - I'm glad you posted it. I could see a slight crop from the left also but I love it the way it is. Good to have you back

Loved this blur when I saw it on Facebook, which I look at on my tablet. Here on the big machine, I agree with Diane about cropping some from the left. I just love the soft blurred vertical lines of this and the delicate, just emerging yellows of the buds. Very well seen and created!

V nice. Wonderful repeating lines and patterns. Soft and gentle. The pale yellow bud is the center of focus for me. The lighter leaves help my eye to move around the image. With or without crop, I like it.
