My favorite part of spring is chasing these guys. Canon 5DIII with 600II+1.4 extender, ISO400,f7.1@ 1/2500 sec.
Little tightly framed but he was way too close for me to pull the extender off without spooking him.Any and all feedback is welcome.

Stunning detail Joe, sure looks good in full frame, congrats!
Very nice looking frame of a beautiful drake Woodie Joe. The details and exposure look spot on and I like the nice HA. I like the log he is on too but I might think about the comp without the reflection and just keep it at the end of the log. Well done

Magnificent portrait. Nice lights, beautiful colors and composition.

Wonderful warm tones on one of the more outstanding duck designs. Great pose and very nice detail, plus that complimentary BG.

So I just happened to see this image again and realized that I absolutely love the thumbnail. Because of the size, I can't see the entire large image on my monitor, but I am thinking now that I like the image just as it is. The main reason for that is that it is unique!!!!
Thanks for your time and input everyone!
I like just about everything in this shot Joe. The light on the Woody is really nice and you've got a good angle on him. The surrealistic swirls of the log are great, and I'd vote for keeping the reflection in.
