    African Broadbill
    Coutada 11, Mozambique

Photographed in the lowland forests of Mozambique as the early morning sun broke through the thick tangles that these unique birds call their home.

Hi Rich, I like the rim light around this fellow - great choice for the theme. Good angled pose, and moving to your left would have had a clear tail. I like thesplashes of green of the OOF leaves, and I would maybe run some NR on the BG.

A bird I havent seen before.

Good backlit shot with a nice pose. Well exposed for the bird. Some foreground distractions, but of course that's the nature of his habitat.

Nice exposure and IQ on the bird. I like the pose and that both feet are visible. I agree that some NR on the background would be good and if only he'd taken 1 more step forward. Can't control that last one.

I always like to see a new bird. We do not see many birds from Mozambique posted on BPN.
The image has a lot of issues for me.
The blurry FG vegetation really draws the eye away. The branch to the right of the bird is distracting and I would clone it out (if not against your ethics).
The IQ seems off. Is this a big crop?
There is a lot of pixelation/noise in the BG and I would correct this in PP.
I do like the rim lighting and the great HA.

Thanks everyone. Gail, it was a decent size crop say 50 %. Thanks for taking the time.
