Default Wing Stretch... Burrowing Owl Chick

Another of my Burrowing Owls from Marco Island. For those not familiar with the Burrowing Owl, the chicks as shown here is about 5 inches tall. The adults are between 7 to 9 inches tall. A perfect miniature owl, much like the Little Owl of the UK. This owl was in the process of stretching it's wing and leg. They do one side and then the other side. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

    Hi Joseph,
Great pose you captured here and I love the expression. I'm noticing some artifacts to the left of the bird's head. Did you do some BG work there?

Allen, thank you for viewing and commenting. Good eyes, as many times as I looked at the image I missed those. Easy fix, here is a repost.

Nice wing stretch and I like the leg up and talons extended. Those look really sharp and the legs remind me of a cactus plant. You did well to capture him on a little hummock, as it separates the owl from the background. I might take a bit off the bottom, and add more to the top if you've got the room.
