Quite the little stoic, this one. I can just hear him telling himself "I won't look at the camera". A lot of really nice detail in the owl, and I like the perch as it gives perspective to the owl's size. Nicely blurred background and good colors make the owl pop in the image.

Lovely image, Jonathan. The Burrowing Owls I just recently spent time with have the same reluctance to turn towards the camera. I think it is the light that they turn away from, only giving a quick glance towards the light. The rock perch and the lichen covered branch I would die for to have for a perch here. Thank you for sharing.

    Hi Jon,
Love the perch - adds a lot of interest. The BG complements the subject and subject very well. Nicely done.

Your Owl with lovely feather detail and nice and sharp looks great, particularly like the eye, nice bg to sit it on.Being really picky would prefer just the stones for a perch ,not so keen on the branch which does not fit in to my eyes but perhaps would look good with the Owl on it.Just my personal take Jon and would be pleased if it was mine.
