This beautiful drake had just hopped onto the log with the intention of taking a nap, which it did after I took a few images of it.

Canon 7DII + 500mm f/4 II, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/400s., f/4, ISO 1600, almost FF, a branch coming in from URC removed via clone and patch tools, NR applied to the background.

Super image with a great POV Dan, hope you remembered to clear the snorkel Bird looks great and the water drops and light drizzle contribute to the feeling of duck heaven.

Hi Dan, love the eye level perspective, one legged pose, and I really like the overall comp in this. Did I mention how sharp this is.

Very nice clean image Dan, I like the colours and the pose. The log makes for a very good setting, very often we say pity about the bit sticking up but I like the protruding branch.

Daniel, I'm always hesitant to comment on your images. They are always so, well...perfect. There is nothing in this frame that I would think of changing. The BG, the bird, POV, the perch. Everything just works.

Composition does it for me Dan,everything fits beautifully together.Don't think that Duck could have found a better piece of branch to sit on,fine piece of work.

Superb image Daniel, awesome colours and such a beautiful scene. Perfect composition, delightful pose from the subject. I love the reflection, perch, and especially those small water droplets:)

What's not to like. The one-legged pose, background, colors, detail are all top notch; but I particularly like the branch. Nicely done, as usual.

Just beautiful colors, background and I love the detail in the log and it's slight soft reflection in the water. I appreciate that you maintained such natural colors. steve
