    Pied Flycatcher at pool.
Only about one pair back so far. Tried to get another enviro shot. A pain to do these- especially in dark surroundings. Black and white bird etc ,etc. Exposure really tricky.

Great IQ, the piecatcher really stands out in your image. I like the pose, HA and exposure control looks right on to me. Another excellent shot at your little pool, very nicely done.

Well I personally think you have managed to capture a great enviro image. The handling of the exposure on the bird is excellent and the rest of the image just falls into place. Nice to see something different. You must have some real fun at your pool.

    Thanks David
Doesn't always work !.- but when it does.
Working within the constraints of the gear I suppose it will do me.

I like this image, as you say tricky exposure but looks good to me, they are smart little birds.
Shame the numbers are going down, the forest is perfect for them, especially along the brook.

What a great looking bird, John. Like the environment, and I think you handled the blacks and whites exceptionally well.

You really made this one pop-out from a difficult lighting situation, very pleasing image

I agree, a beautiful little bird well exposed against a nice natural background. Well done
