    After watching this bird busily feeding along the rocks,it stopped for a rest,cannon500mm IS,L,F4,1/4EXT,700MM FL,TRIPOD SET LOW,5DMK111,ISO800,1/4000s,f6.3,crop,sharpened,SH,levels,removed a few highlights of rocks.

    Lovely light on the bird, with good sense of place and a nice pose. I would like it even better without the bright rocks in the bg, but you take what they give you.

    Well caught I have only ever managed from some distance, good details and exposure. The pale rocks are a little unfortunate however they do show off the speace within the bill to good effect.

    Excellent image. I like the rocky environment, BG color complimenting with colors of Sandpiper, beautiful lights and pose.
