John Norton Passing

Hi All,

It is with a heavy heart that I am announcing the passing of John Norton on June 8th..........of Norton Puffin tours. Details can be found here; http://www.bragdonkelley.com/listman/listings/l0101.htm

It has been my priviledge to know both John and Barna for the past 10 years. They both typified the classic NE fisherman spirit and both shared the love for the puffin and Machias Seal Island. I am told that his daughter Whitney will be continuing the tradition in 2009.

I will miss my friend.............and urge anyone who smokes...........please quit!

Very bad news. Almost went out with them last year.

The Nortons will be missed by all .
I have taken numerous trips with both Barna and then his son John and it was always a pleasure to deal with them.
Barna passed away a couple of years ago and we all miss his fiery attitude.
Now his son has lost his battle with cancer and will be missed just as much

John was an excellent photographer is his own right and always had the best localles to share besides the excellent trips out to Machias..

I saw John almost die right in front of me many years ago in a dory accident upon landing... His Dad, watching from the big boat, was on his knees praying. You gotta love them smokes...
