This is another in the same series of the same Black-bellied Plover. A neat bird that seemed to go from pose to pose as I clicked the shutter. It's really fun when you get to spend time with a cooperative subject. I like the scratching pose, with the foot still touching the feathers. I normally prefer an open eye, but this works so well as is! Just enough beach decorations to not distract. The slightly ajar bill adds to the soothing feeling. There may be a touch too much canvas below...having the subject a bit lower would have worked IMO.
Nice image Joe, I really like the pose. If you've got the room, I'd agree that adding to the top and removing some of the bottom would be an improvement.
