    Default The Best Days !

    Hello everyone !

Thanks for the comments and suggestions on my previous post .

Here i am posting one from my Mara trip back in Nov 2015. 4 Hyena pups right besides the track in a beautiful morning light were in a playful mood . I guess these are the best days for everyone , playing with the siblings and where Mum takes care of the things .

Canon 5D MK III , canon 500mm f4 IS II, Bean Bag.
    ss 1/4000 , f/8.0, iso 2000

DPP4, CS6, WB adjustment , HSL,curves , selective colour , Slightly sharpened , cropped slightly from all four areas.

All your C&C's are most welcome .

Hi Haseeb - Certainly a fun look at the hyena youngsters. I am curious about the wb and light as you said it was beautiful morning light but that's not really the feeling that is coming through here. It almost looks flashed and is a bit cool. I don't think you needed such a high ss and could have dropped the ISO a bit too. Sharpness and dof look good though.

    TFS,
    Rachel

Thanks Haseeb, that looks a bit warmer and more in line with what you described as the conditions.

Haseeb the warmer version looks a lot better to me,do like the interaction between these animals and the wet one really appeals to me,would be pleased if it was mine.

Hi Haseeb, a nice encounter, just wished the RH pup had his face more visible and not hidden. You could have dropped the ISO, but you nailed the frame and ISO2000 isn't much for the 5D3.

Perhaps somewhere between the two, I think perhaps some of the saturation is possibly masking some of the finer detail??? Not sure if a sliver more at the foot may help?

Nice interaction in great light here Haseeb, in hindsight you could have dropped the S/S for a lower ISO giving a slightly cleaner BG, I'm sure ISO800 would have been about right.

Your RP takes it up a notch as well.

    Liking the RP here, Haseeb.
Great interaction and "clean" look here. Ditto Rachel on the SS/ISO combo but easy to dissect that after the fact.
    the expressions make it!

Hi Haseeb, a great sighting, and I like the 'smiling' expression on the cub looking at us. I feel your repost looks better with regards to more of a warmer tone.
