    Here is a list edited from one posted several years ago. Feel free to suggest others that should be added!

    I’ve edited out the instant message abbreviations, which are easily found with a web search, and left the photography jargon. And then there are all those bird name abbreviations…

    ACR - Adobe Camera Raw
    AWB - Auto White Balance
    AF/MF - Autofocus/Manual focus
    Av - Aperture Value (Camera mode for aperture priority)
    BG – Background
    BBF – back button focus
    BIF - Birds in Flight
    BIH - Birds in Habitat
    BOAS - Bird on a Stick
    CA - Chromatic Aberration (purple or green fringe around objects)
    CC - Creative Cloud (referring to Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop subscription model)
    C&C - Comments & Critiques
    CEP - Color Efex Pro (NIK software)
    CMYK - Cyan/Magenta/Yellow/Black color space
    CS – Adobe Creative Suite
    CW - Clockwise rotation
    CCW - Counter Clockwise rotation
    DOF - Depth of Field
    DPP – Digital Photo Pro, Canon’s raw converter
    ETTR -- expose to the right (without blowing out highlights) to record more detail in darks. Highlights and midtones can be darkened to correct values in processing.
    EXP - Exposure
    EV - Exposure value
    EC - Exposure Compensation
    FG - Foreground
    FF - Fill Flash or Full Frame
    FEC - Flash Exposure Compensation
    GND - Graduated Neutral Density (filter)
    HA - Head Angle
    HDR - High Dynamic Range
    HH - Hand Held
    HOM - Hand of Man IQ- Image Quality
    HSL - Hue/Saturation/Luminosity
    ICC profile - describes color behavior of a device
    IQ - image quality
    IS - Image Stabilization (Canon lens term)
    IR - Infrared
    LL- Lower Left
    LR - Lower Right or Lightroom (software)
    LLC - Lower Left Corner
    NR - Noise reduction
    OOF - Out of Focus
    OP – original post
    OS - Optical stabilization
    PS - Photoshop
    PM - Private Message
    PP - Post Processed
    QM - Quick Mask (PS Tool)
    RGB - Red/Green/Blue
    ROT - Rule of thirds (compositional guideline)
    RP - repost
    S/H - Shadow/Highlight PS Tool
    H/S – Hue and Saturation
    SEP - Silver Efex Pro (NIK software)
    SS - Shutter Speed
    TC - Tele converter
    Tv - Time Value (Camera mode for shutter speed priority)
    USM - Unsharp Mask (PS Tool for sharpening) or ultrasonic motor
    UL - Upper Left
    UR - Upper Right
    URC - Upper Right Corner
    VR - Vibration Reduction (Nikon lens term)
    WB - White Balance

    ICC profile - Image Color Consortium Profile, referring to color space such as sRGB or Adobe RGB

    RP - Re-Post
    RGB - Red/Green/Blue
    SEP - Silver Efex Pro (NIK software)
    WB - White Balance
