Picture I have had for a while still unable to get out much, early days with my D4 would certainly get a lot higher iso these days.

    Thanks for taking a look.

Beautiful bird and image. The details are nice, just like Chris I agree that just a tad more HA towards us would had been perfect but as often as it is we don't have control of our subjects. Nonetheless this is a good image. TFS

Hi Keith, great detail and beautiful colors on the bird. I personally find the white dots in the foreground quite distracting and would be tempted to try and get rid of them. Tfs

I like the bird and BG. Good colours and sharpness, and the low angle worked well with the short grass. Good comp. The two main issues have been identified already: head/body angle, and the white flowers along the bottom edge of the frame.

Beautiful bird, lovely colors (never have seen one before). I like the background very much, I go back and forth regarding removing the white out of focus flowers or dandelion heads. Thank you for sharing, Keith.

Hi Keith, well done for getting down and dirty, and the light has brought out the iridescence so well. I like the curved crest. Angled pose mentioned.
