    Default Running Piping Plover

My last post was a running Sanderling that I did not quite stop the action on. Did better with this Piping Plover. Photo taken at Breezy Point in Queens, New York. Lying down with camera on tripod with legs fully extended. I prefer this to the ground pod I think.

    Canon 7d2 with 500 f4 ii and 1.4x iii. ISO 320, F8, SS 1/3200

Converted in DPP 4. In PS I cloned out a stick and a small shell. Slight adjustments in color, contrast, highlights and shadows. Have to admit that these birds that are half white and half another color always give me a bit of a hard time to try and keep the whites white and the other color true as well.

All comments and critiques welcomed and appreciated.

You captured this one well Isaac, fantastic POV. I like the raised foot and the detail on the bird. Maybe sharpen the head a little?

Sweet pose and light. Nice catch light and nice low POV. The sharpening looks spot on to me.
