    Default Stink Bug on Window

I thought this reflection of the bug and the trees on glass was uber cool! I used ACR and Photoshop adjustments, then Jixipix Moku Hanga filter and Analog Efex and maybe one other that I can't remember... I remembered the filter, it was Topaz Detail at a low level to bring out a little more detail after I used Analog Efex.

Nancy kindly informed me that this is a leaf-footed bug rather than a stink bug.

The shadows really sell this. I like the combination of filters, too.

Right Dennis. Stinkbugs are definitely not photogenic! That's the only one I ever wanted to photograph.

Love the detailed multiple shadows! And the vivid green background adds drama! However this is not what I would call a Stink Bug. Rather it is a Leaf-Footed Bug, Family Coreidae. Notice the dilated and leaf-like projections on the hind legs.

p.s. I photograph lots of insects.

The shadows are really cool, especially on the green. The multiple shadows add extra interest; one of them has what looks like a large eye. Nice processing. Everything works well together. I never photograph bugs!

Thanks Nancy! Well now that you mention it, I knew about leaf-footed bugs a few years ago and forgot. I know someone told me about them but can't remember the circumstances. Maybe I made a photo of one years ago. After googling stink bugs they do look similar except for the legs. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brown_...ated_stink_bug

Thanks Anita! I have only photographed a few insects... 2 garden spiders, a praying mantis, cicadas emerging from their shells, a few bee/wasp type bugs on flowers and clover, and of course butterflies, and a hummingbird moth.

Hey, Judy, sorry I'm so late - I love the reflections and the colors a lot.
