A 'different' antelope, got to love the 'corkscrew' antlers. You can just see a second Nyala further in.

Steve does this stunning fella have another common name used? I'm vaguely familiar with him,but the name not so.

Anyway a joy to view, I presume him? All the usual wonder is there in your pictures the DOF is cracking Steve just so well executed for me anyway. Such a fabulous subject love the HA and how that presents the white facial markings,i'm torn on whether I would move the frame a smidge and I mean smidge to the left ,torn because of the proximaty of the top of those wonderful horns in the ULC, also there looks to be something near and oof on the right which surely might come into play.

As always a privelidge to view and be inspired by, superbly executed: replying to your images make me think Steve, always my thanks for that.

    Nyala what a lovely name!!

    Cracking mate, cheers for this

    Good afternoon Steve,

Beautiful Nyala Bull and what a proud pose, this frame certainly does justice to the species!

Great exposure, lovely detail and sharpness, colours spot-on, impeccable PP work. Those Bulls are majestic, I love to observe them moving about with such great elegance and dignity.

I enjoy this image a lot, one reason being this sense of tranquility and stillness I perceive as I am viewing - this is perhaps because I have often seen the Nyala move so quietly as they browse through foliage, despite their size and length of their horns. Those high grasses and thick green foliage could easily deceive me into thinking the frame was captured minutes away from my home.

So perhaps a familiar scene, one I might get to see on a Sunday morning drive through my "sanctuary" as I begin to contemplate and worship Mother Nature:)

    Warmest regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Magnificent animal, such a treasure. The corkscrew antlers are awesome, the color a perfect camouflage judging from the one in the background. A lovely life you live, my friend. Thank you for sharing, Steve.

Hi Steve - A simple portrait of an elegant animal. The tones, color and details all look spot on. F8 was a good choice on dof for the whole body to be in focus.

    Hi Steve

Stu- they are also called the Natal Rugby Players- the orange socks up to the knees... (would like see them scrum with those horns..)
Intersting techs, Steve- what did you use for support?
Stunning detail as always darks and whites, DOF efficient here.
Why the deep crop @ bottom?
    Regards

    Andre.

My 'Handy pandas' HH with some other body techniques and you also politely ask people not to bounce around in the vehicle.

Why the deep crop @ bottom?
Perhaps a sliver off, but mainly for virtual legs, avoiding going too tight and I liked the FG.

Not nearly enough good nyala images around Steve.
Nice pose here, and good DOF/angle through the foliage. A prime specimen, it seems!
