Little Estero Lagoon, that is. From back in 2012. Taken after the setting sun had disappeared from ground level, but was still hitting the golden condo in the distance, to backlight the Semipalmated Sandpiper.

Very nice capture, Bill. The golden reflection is wonderful, as it's being caught by the top back feathers, sand, and water. Love the characteristic foot tapping to dislodge potential food morsels.

Color of the water is gorgeous and you have great feather details in your bird. You have enough of the eye to make this image work, although a bit more would have been even better.

Lovely image, magical light. I might have gone a little wider, but your certainly have the sharpness and detail to go tight. Thank you for sharing, Bill.

Hi Bill, excellent feather detail sharp, and well exposed. I like the hint of rim light on the RHS of the bird, and the colourful water takes this up a few notches.

Thanks everyone. Your comments are appreciated. Joe, I agree about wider. Looking back at my images from 2012, I had a tendency to make them all a little too large in the frame.

The water is amazing, and the glow along the back is very cool.

Thanks Daniel. I guess condos are good for something.
