    Default A Ghostly Appearance

    Hello Friends,

Posting something rather unusual tonight, you will either love it or hate it...

A Wild Cat - to me truly a special sighting, time 6:30 am, KTP February 2016. It only lasted seconds. I tried to capture the mood and feel of the moment before this ghostly appearance faded into the lush vegetation, never to be seen again.

I really appreciate you taking the time to view.

Beautiful image, love the atmosphere you have captured here, the cat is sharp with good detail, would have been magic if the head was turned more towards us,but you get what you get,but it still a very nice image, wish it was mine.well done.

Hi Gabriela, a gorgeous image and where the subject has some lovely space all round and to look into, well framed IMHO.

Your title say 'ghostly', yet you have a pinkish backdrop I assume from the early morning sun rise. Just a thought, but you could go very mono to emphasis that 'ghostly' appearance, perhaps even drop the Exp and pull the lighter whites up and bring a bit more vib to the green, but that is an alternative and probably getting away from the OP. Love the fact the cat is just sitting, looking away, and not bothered, it appears, by your presence.

F/4 little doF I guess, but for me it's more about the content and what you have captured, rather than the 'details'.

A really nice image with some great qualities.

    TFS
    Steve

PS Be nice for the old 'lurkers' to join in.

Love the soft pink and greens enveloping the subject. Cat is nicely positioned in the frame and its size provides a good sense of scale

Hi Gabriela - A beautiful scene and yes, ghostly and ethereal. I love the tones and all the white flowers. I think the profile view makes the image. If the cat was looking at you then the small in frame with so much space around would not work as well. You've been holding out on us with this one. Well done!

    TFS,
    Rachel

Think when Steve mentioned content he hit the nail right on the head this is full of it.Not sure if it needs more head turn I like the fixed stare that the Cat has got looking into the scene, all finished off with that nice pink misty atmosphere, love it!

Gabriela you have caught a magic moment in time (I didn't look at previous posts so if this is repetitious it must be true!), the image is spell binding I keep looking and going back again - well done!

One of the nicest shots on here that I,ve seen. We have a heath nearby that looks just like this in the early morning. I love the position of the clumps of vegetation in relatiuon to the cat too.
A very nice and atmospheric image. It would still be a pleasant shotv without the cat.

    Hello Friends, Happy Sunday everyone

Apologies for taking so long to reply, and many thanks for your lovely and very kind comments, much appreciated!

Rachel, I really don't know why I did not share this previously, I must have thought not everyone will like it but it seems I was wrong:) Steve you are right and F4 is too little, I would have liked more but by the time I changed settings (I wanted to maintain that 1/1000s) this lovely cat moved on, I wasn't quick enough! Oh well, just deleted the next two frames where she disappears into the shrubs...

Glad you like this and here's another version, a slightly different "mood" as the colours are more vibrant for a change. I find your positive feedback so inspiring, I will play around some more with this frame and share with you, meanwhile...have a wonderful day, warmest regards to you all

A dreamy shot of a special sighting, Gabriela.
The pose and creamy colours add so much here, as does the DOF. Your repost nails it!

    Thank you so much Morkel,

I sincerely hoped you'd like this, you know the place as intimately as I do and love it just as much. Image captured near 13th borehole, BTW:)

    Warmest regards,
    Gabriela Plesea
