The slow shutter speed was after I had some faster ones in the bag!
A case of work in progress really I was delighted to get a relatively clear shot of the grebe on the nest but I am sure everyone is saying get lower! I did try but I caused her to leave the nest so I left immediately, I waited from my first vantage point and she did return. I will return, perhaps when she has eggs she will be a little more courageous.
Maybe remove the green vegetation coming from behind its head and the blue object in the bottom center foreground, otherwise a very clean image with a difficult approach
I agree with Glenn but still a nice capture. Keep an eye on that nest and I'll bet you get some cool stuff once they hatch out. Well done
