I found it interesting that the male brought this plastic sheet up from the water and took it to the female to whom it seemed good enough to be part of their nest, the plastic sheet that is.
    Thanks for looking.

Interesting image captured here Karl, always great to capture behaviour like this. Also really like the background and the head angles. The image looks a little soft though and some additional sharpening may help. I also think although the bag is of interest it isn''t an eye pleaser. TFS

    Hello Karl,

I appreciate this post which IMO raises a serious environmental issue. Image well composed and some nice interaction from the two subjects who work so well together to build their nest. What I like most is the eye contact between them, they seem to be in agreement about what to do with the plastic bits and no quarrel pending:)

I do not have a great deal of experience with water birds but I assume there is quite a bit of movement from those two "bobbing" on the water, therefore I would have aimed for greater SS here and even higher aperture. Image well exposed, I abstain from commenting on the colours as I am not familiar with the species, overall a wonderful behavioural frame and I am so pleased to see you care about the environment

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Ditto what Glenn said, and it is simply so sad to see. There are just so many birds and animals being effected by humans' trash.
