I can only image what was going through his head at this moment. The roadrunner was like trying to photograph lighting he moved so fast. He moved from the sunny batch straight in to the shadows, grabbed the lizard and ran. Gone in 1/200th of a second. I wasn't set up right "exposure-wise" at all.
