Willow Warbler and Cuckoo.
Another old one which porpped up on a recent book reequest. Taken in 1976.
Camera Pentax S1a. Mecablitz 402 with twin heads.
Would have been something like 60th @f16- flash freezing action.
Copied from Ecktachrome 100 tranny with Nikon D100 and 40 mm macro.
Always remember this day as after a lull in bird activity I started to nod in the hide. Waking up I looked down and there was an Adder coiled up between my feet (Wellies on )
I shot up and shuffed backwards at great speed- hide and all !! Must have looked quite funny.
Quite a lot of old dust spots etc removed.
Cheers

John, this is amazing! Everything lines up so perfectly: head turns, wing position, body angle, and lights. Good stuff that you have the boots on. Are the boots actually good to prevent getting bitten?
What an image! Super moment captured that shows well the nature of the Cuckoo. Nice to read the data you put. It is all history for the digital world. Thank you for sharing this amazing stuff.
Well timed to capture this feeding behaviour, and I like the colours on the Cuckoo. I can see a lot of repetitive evidence of cloning in the ULC from removing your dust spots.
Cheers

Yes I think I can see where you mean. There certainly were a whole lot of items engrained in the film. Thats the trouble with old stuff.
Thanks for your input

Great looking frame John, especially for the time. Nice details and exposure. Man did this mom get ripped off. TFS
