From Sandy Hook in 2014. Some of you thought the "pebbles" were distracting when I posted another bird in this setting awhile back, so you may think likewise here. I actually thought they added some interest. In fact, they may be Periwinkles, although I didn't think to confirm that at the time.

The darker spots do add interest but, more importantly, they educate the viewer on at leas tone of this bird's chosen environment for feeding. Nice to see the bird feeding. I would remove the one dark spot bottom to clean the edge up. Think it would really improve the image.

Nice feeding and the pebbles add interest indeed. Nice head turn towards you, nice detail and good exposure.

Hey Bill, nice eye contact from the bird, good low angel and lovely sharp image, well done! I would be tempted to clean up / clone out the dark spots in the foreground. TFS

Interesting image of the bird feeding in it's environment. The bird nice and sharp with good feather detail and a nice head turn towards you. I might be inclined to remove the two oof dark spots in front of the bird but I like the rest as they are.

Nice one. I,m not too botherede by the "whatevers" as the sharp bird stands outv well enough. And I like haitat stuff.

Thank you all for looking. I've expelled the two "pebbles" closest to the bottom edge, and while I was at it I've also taken out one at the bird's ankle. I'll admit there are two other blobs that I wish weren't there, especially the one at the bird's right foot. But I've left them in.

Hi Bill, Lovely feeding/drinking pose with the tilted head, and a good low shooting angle too. Your repost addresses the only issue I had - the two 'blobs in the lower FG. I was going to suggest to come up from the bottom a touch, as it would also remove some of the OOF FG.

Thanks Stu. I guess that also would have worked.
